You have not sat on a chair studded with nails? Have not seen a drop of water dangling in the air or a human battery? Do not know how to form stem cells, for which two scientists received the Nobel Prize? This is what you can try out for yourself and see at the Festival of Science, which opened in Moscow. «Rossiyskaya Gazeta»

The Festival of Science is good because it encourages young scientists and engineers from across the country to perfect their inventions. And all others can just come and "touch science" with their own hands. «First Channel»

Within the framework of the Festival are lectures by prominent scientists, intellectual games, open laboratories. The main criteria for all projects are accessibility and interaction. At the same time, the scientists themselves admit that when they are answering the questions of children, new ideas often occur to them. «Culture»

In the hall of Moscow University, everything is buzzing, flashing, rotating. The ideas and achievements of Russian universities, research institutes, and industrial laboratories are at the Festival of Science. Information about complex matters is presented in an entertaining way. The objective of the forum is to cultivate an interest in science. «Culture»

The main motto of the event is "Touch science." Hence the task is to talk about the latest developments in a simple and interesting way. Any visitor can understand in practice how, on what, and how successfully the best Russian and international minds work. «Russia 24»

A snapshot of the Moscow Festival: the low-key popularization of science, a clear demonstration of how, with pleasure, to combine comprehension of the required knowledge with usefulness. «Trud»

Advantages of the Festival

"This exhibition, aimed at promoting science as such, should be interesting to visitors. When they come here and look at the exhibits, an interest in science should awaken in them. The motto of the festival is "Touch science."

George Fitzgerald Smoot III

Nobel Laureate
«This exhibition, aimed at promoting science as such, should be interesting to visitors. When they come here and look at the exhibits, an interest in science should awaken in them. The motto of the festival is «Touch science.»

Alexei Khokhlov

Academician, prorector, Lomonosov Moscow State University
«The idea of the Festival of Science is a great idea for any country, especially Russia, because Russia has a good and long tradition of being in a leading position in science. Moreover, Lomonosov began this tradition.»

Alexey Tarasenko

General director, Envision Group
«The main purpose of the festival is to save science from the taint of dry academicism, to prove that research and experimentation are fascinating, and sometimes even fun. The activities are designed mainly for young people schoolchildren and students - but they will be interesting to all. It is necessary to recount the discoveries and achievements of modern scientists to a wide audience, and we are happy to fulfill this educational mission.»

Reviews of the Festival

Alexander Zeitlin

Guest of the festival, a graduate of the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys (MISiS), vice president of the American company MLMK Indiana
«The idea of the festival is to make it clear to children that science is the reason humankind is progressing.»

Guest of the Festival
«Before us on the floor paces a robot that looks like a spider; nearby, on a windowsill, sits a young man with a remote control. And then all our doubts are dispelled at last: we have got to the right place, and we just will not be bored!»

Guest of the Festival
«On Friday, our son went to a class at the Expocenter of the Festival of Science. After he told us about the Festival, his younger sister, 9 years old, asked to go too. On Saturday we arrived earlier. Our son immediately sat down to control the robot; our daughter was put in a master class for coloring bandanas. We stayed almost to the end, almost 17 hours; we were terribly tired, but the kids said that next year we must go again.»
